Concord, VT

Concord, Vermont is a small town located in Essex County. Roughly 1,200 people reside in this rural town. Among this town are two villages, North Concord and Miles Pond. The town has a total area of 53.5 square miles.

2011 Concord School Warning

WARNING
ANNUAL SCHOOL DISTRICT MEETING
CONCORD TOWN SCHOOL DISTRICT

            The legal voters of the Concord Town School District are hereby notified and warned to meet at the Concord Town Hall in the Town of Concord on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 between the hours of Ten (10:00) O'clock in the forenoon (A.M.), at which time the polls will open, and Seven (7:00) O'clock in the afternoon (P.M.), at which time the polls will close, to vote by Australian ballot upon the following articles of business.:

Article 1: To elect a Moderator for a term of one year.

Article 2: To elect a School Director for a term of three years.

Article 3: To Elect a School Director for a term of two years.

Article 4: Shall the voters of the Concord Town School District appropriate $3,294,460 necessary for the support of its schools for the year beginning July 1, 2011?

Article 5: Shall the voters of the Concord Town School District authorize the School Directors to borrow money if necessary?

Article 6: Shall the voters of the Concord Town School District authorize the School Directors to place all unencumbered funds into the Capital Improvement Reserve Fun under the control and direction of the School Directors?

Article 7: Shall the voters of the Town of Concord, Vermont School District vote to close the Concord High School section and tuition out its high school students as required by the State of Vermont in accordance with state laws?

               The legal voters of the Concord Town School District are further warned and notified that the voter qualification, registration and absentee voting relative to said meeting shall be as provided in Chapters 43, 51, and 55 of Title 17, Vermont Statues Annotated.
         
              Adopted and approved at a regular meeting of the Board of School Directors of the Concord Town School District held on January 18, 2011.
